A handful of friends got together to create a Google Voice Number and have difficult conversations with curious & conscientious strangers. Please text us or share our number with a friend! (850) 270-3370

Please find answers to frequently asked questions below.

Are you real?

Yes. We’re real people doing our best to have conversations in real time. For our privacy and yours, we don’t share much about ourselves. However, we do use our personal experiences to help us relate and give examples from time to time.

Is this service therapy or professional help?

No. We talk about and share resources on race and justice. At this time, our group of friends consists of lawyers, data scientists, and professors. While we are interested in bringing therapists and LCSWs onto our team, we will never offer therapy through our text line.

If you need help, please call the NAMI Helpline: 800-950-NAMI or in a crisis, text “NAMI” to 741741.

Are these text messages private?

Yes. We engage with everyone who texts us anonymously. We have asked our new friends if we can post anonymous snippets of conversation to our social media to spark dialogue. We do not publish the phone numbers of our new friends. We will never share the content of our discussions without your express permission. For information about the data collected through this website, please visit our Privacy Policy.

Can I call you?

Unfortunately, we are not equipped to implement a hotline at this time. However, if you call the number and leave a voicemail, we can respond via text.

Do you need volunteers?

We don’t have infrastructure in place to bring on more volunteers just yet, but please fill out our Volunteer Application, and we will reach out when we are ready to expand!
